Kei Izawa has resided in Boulder since 1997 and now heads Teppei LLC, exporting blue agave and other organic products to Japan. Recently started the sale of Karami Salsa in Colorado. As an avid practitioner of Aikido, a Japanese martial art, for the last 45 years, Izawa has been active in teaching the art around the world and teaches aikido in Boulder county as well. Izawa holds the rank of 6th degree black belt. Izawa was elected in 2008 as the Secretary General of the International Aikido Federation, re-elected in 2012 for the second term, ending in 2016.
